10 Dividend Growth Stocks To Buy And Hold Forever

My goal is to buy shares of companies that I love, reinvest the dividends, and in a few decades, retire without having to sell a share of stock because my dividend income is reasonable enough to support me and my family. Sound crazy? It's not. Let me tell you a story: I have a friend who paid $80K for a small building in the late 1970s; today, he collects $85K per year in rent. If you asked my friend what the building is worth, he couldn't tell you (it's worth about $2MM). He... Read more

Premier Dividend Growth Stocks: Is There Any Value? A Sector By Sector Summary Review: Part 1

Introduction As a value investor, I must admit to being very frustrated with the valuations I'm seeing on high-quality blue-chip dividend growth stocks. I have been vigorously searching for fairly valued dividend growth stocks to invest in. I have thoroughly screened and evaluated every company in the S&P Dividend Aristocrats, all three of the CCC (Champions, Contenders and Challengers) lists produced by David Fish, every dividend paying stock on the S&P 500, Fortune 500, NASDAQ... Dividend Income Update: July 2016

It's dividend income update time. One of my favorite times of the month, as I get to review the previous month of passive income received from my dividend income portfolios. As we have witnessed thus far in 2016, the market will do whatever it will want to do. No amount of statistics, economic data nor talking head predictions could have called the incredibly weak start to the year we had, nor the amazing rebound either. We have witnessed oil prices climb out of their recent depths... Read more

The Most Undervalued And Overvalued Dividend Champions - July 2016

A little over a year ago, in June of 2015, I started a series of articles in which I highlight the stocks from the Dividend Champions list that have the highest and the lowest Percent Above the Average Yield (PAAY) over the past year and over the past five years. PAAY is a measure of how much a stock is above (high PAAY, undervalued) or below (low PAAY, overvalued) its usual yield, and can be an indication that the stock is mis-priced. Please see my previous article for the June 2016 list. In... Read more
